Gehn

Name: Gehn
Race: Saiyan-Cyborg, Infinite Energy
Alignment: Neutral
Age: 28
Appearance: Of average height and a medium build, Gehn blends in among most Saiyans. Since leaving Vegeta, he keeps his hair trimmed into a neat, forehead-length cut to combat the wild lengths it prefers to grow to. His left eye has since been replaced by the green high-endurance glass of the most powerful scouters, wherein a reticule-like pupil can sometimes be seen.

Gehn's typical fighting uniform often consists of a tight, white shirt, a red sash, grey pants that hang loosely and lightly from his legs, as well as black boots. Now lacking his tail, he blends in effortlessly among the people of Earth as well as most Androids of Earthling or Saiyan origin.
Background: Although born to a family of Saiyan nobility with considerable influence within the monarchy, Gehn never displayed any of their traits. He lacked the aggression of his elder sister, Ollis, and the skills of their eldest brother, Celerus. As a child, he lagged far behind their development and was often beaten by Ollis not for the purposes of combat training, but simply because he didn't have the strength to resist her cruelty. Even his Power Level lagged far behind his siblings when they were his age.

As Gehn grew, however, he demonstrated a keen talent for the manipulation of Ki. Energy techniques came easily to him, as did the art of flight. He was also seen to have a sharp mind, though that only added to an adolescent reputation of being a day-dreamer and lacking in focus. Despite the cruelty of his sister, Celerus displayed a constant faith in Gehn, even as he consistently failed to live up to it.

As Gehn followed his siblings into adulthood, he heard rumor from other Saiyans of the mythical "Dragon Balls," talked about only in restrained laughter and crude jokes. Yet, something about the rumors struck Gehn, as he began to research the topic across the information networks of the universe, discovered that other, isolated stories from fringe sources also mentioned them. His siblings had no interest in such fantasies, especially the theory that they were related to the mystical Namekians of their mostly-desolate homeworld.

Shortly after this, Gehn left his homeworld for the stars.

His adventures first took him to the city-covered moon known as the Interstellar Market. There, he learned that many rumors surrounding the Dragon Balls led back to a planet called Earth. From the Interstellar Market, he journeyed to Earth and began his investigation.

Once there, however, the trail ran cold. Gehn searched for years only to find little of interest, finding a role for himself in Earth's much more peaceful society as the owner of a mining and prospecting company. His search never ended, but it slowed, as he slowly became acclimated to the softer people and way of life on Earth.

Back on Vegeta, Ollis and Celerus were under consideration for promotion within the Saiyan military. However, the matter of their rogue and presumed-traitorous brother was raised as a point of contention. Enraged by their long-gone sibling potentially jeopardizing their place in Saiyan society and the legacy of their family, Ollis hired a powerful Changeling mercenary to find and eradicate Gehn along with all his associates.

Through great luck and effort alike, Gehn narrowly escaped Earth in his personal vessel. Damage during his escape from Earth caused him to crash within the sprawling metropolis of the Interstellar Market, the only other world he truly knew.

When he came to, he found himself in the possession of a Human cyberneticist. His tail had been removed and his muscular system, as well as other soft tissue such as organs and ligaments, had all been enhanced by artificial means. His muscles, he was told, now had a silvery sheen. His damaged skull from the crash had been healed, his crushed eye replaced with a Scouter-like alternative that interfaced with his brain.

As the cyberneticist explained further details, how his quest to create a divine being led him to the marriage of the organic and the artificial, Gehn began to lose focus. Instead, an intense rage over his Saiyan body being so thoroughly tainted by machinery overtook him. The growth in his power, well over ten-fold, far exceeded the cyberneticist's planning, and Gehn killed him. With the doctor dead, he began his escape from his facilities.
